The Postgraduate and Early Career Researcher (PGECR) Country House Group has over a hundred members from UK universities, historic houses and arts institutions. It is truly interdisciplinary, we have members who are researching the British country house from a wide range of fields including social history, literature, art history, fashion, heritage studies, architecture, film & television, the history of collecting, decorative arts and other areas. We hold an annual conference and other networking events, share our work, have online talks, and collaborate with country houses,. We also have several members who are senior academics and established curators and heritage staff, and welcome everyone working in this field.

If you are an MA or PhD student, or in the early stages of your academic career, and are researching any area of the British country house in any era, please join our ever-growing group. Email Sarah - 0405529@students.uca.ac.uk
